Right now my sister is in Baywind Village for rehab, and she broke her shoulder and dislocated her hip. This is my sister’s third stay, and the staff has always been very helpful and conscientious. The management is willing to listen to the patient’s inputs and concerns. At the Christmas party, they did a wonderful job of welcoming the visitors. The rooms are shared rooms and not very big, but I like the way they’re laid out because they give the patients a lot of privacy. They have a large dining area, but my sister is not very happy about the food.

Skilled Nursing Facilities are one of the Medicare certified provider types who are participate in the CMS Quality initiatives in order to accept Medicare for payment. I visited dear friends often during their stay there. The facility itself is immaculately clean, beautifully decorated and so home like, that it does not look like an average facility. During all the times I visited, I noticed that all of the staff were so caring, and would go above and beyond to help make the residents comfortable.
It was her goal to put weight on her, and she did. Their physical therapy seemed to be very good with Mom. The facilities, as far as the bedroom, like the bedspreads looked like they were 100 years old, and the furniture was ugly, but the entranceway was nice. The facilities were good, except they needed to be updated. I like the size of the rooms better than the semi-private. After my husband was in the hospital, they didn't have a bed. Because he has Alzheimer's and he is not friendly, I wasn't really that focused on the activities.

I interacted with several of the staff and I have never seen such dedicated people that truly cared for each and every person they encountered.
